A campaign that brings the facts and figures of AIDS in Afrika to the Netherlands, literally.

While the interest in AIDS donations has declined in recent years because of very low death rates in western countries. The death toles in Afrika have increased by 50%. How do we bring a problem on the other side of the world closer to home?

AIDS is one of the leading causes of death among young people worldwide, but at the same time it is a decease far away for many young Dutch people. By linking 14 Dutch city names to similar South African ones (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague, Ermelo etc.) shocking figures like death rates and infection percentages suddenly come shockingly close to home. With this campaign we showed that AIDS is still a big problem in the world and brought it back on the map.
