A picture is worth a thousand words. Because it’s hard for children to express their feelings after a traumatic event like a house fire. We gave them the opportunity to draw it.

Problem
In the Netherlands, 1 in 67 homes are affected by fire each year, which equates to over 100,000 home fires per year. Children are often the forgotten victims that walk around with trauma’s for sometimes their entire life. Klaverblad wanted to that they not only give financial support after home fires. But also help on these subjects.
Solution
Children can sometimes express their feelings better through drawings, especially when it comes to traumatic experiences. So we decided to let children that are effected by house fires draw their ‘huisje, boompje, beestje’. And use this as a platform to express their feelings and open up.
